Other Pets
As well as keeping geckos I also have two cats, Baileys and Smirnoff (Noffie) and a dog called Trinity (Trini). I've recently branched out into frogs as well and now have three african tree frogs, Innie, Meanie and Minie
Baileys
Baileys was the first cat I got when I moved into my own place in 1998. She was a rescue kitten who had a very delicate stomach and as a result she spent a lot of her time as a kitten in the bath until I finally found some food that she could eat. As a kitten she also developed the annoying habit of pulling heads off flowers, something that she still does to this day.
Sadly in 2004 she managed to get herself run over outside of my house. Luckily for her, although she had some very nasty injuries she's mostly recovered from it. Apart from a slightly grumpier attitude and a few bald patches on her legs she looks just the same. She certainly keeps Noffie and Trini in their respective places around the house.
Noffie
Noffie was another rescue cat which we got from the Cat Protection League in May 2003. There was some initial confusion as we were supposed to be getting a male kitten but we ended up with a female one instead! So much for the idea a nice lazy tom cat lounging around the house. Thankfully after a few little spats, Baileys took to her quite well.
This little one has to be the naughtiest cat I've had in my life and the most prolific huntress. She is forever leaving the remains of animals she has eaten lying around on my floors. Being all white you would think she should have trouble catching things but it does not seem to hinder her at all. She also loves to chew my nose if I do not get out of bed early enough to feed her! Not the best way to be woken up in the morning, I can tell you.
Trini
Trini isn't really my pet at all as she actually belongs to my partner Ross but I love her all the same. She's a 2 year old Jack Russell terrier and boy does she have the typical attitude of a terrier. From the first day we got her she's been causing havoc in our house. She also is impossible to wear out! We can walk her for hours and play with her all day and she still brings us toys to play with her.
